Dr. Sylvia Haida studied history and art history at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn. She was a fellow of the scholarship program "Deutschland und seine östlichen Nachbarn – Beiträge zur europäischen Geschichte" by the Ebelin and Gerd Bucerius Foundation. Since 2013, she has been working as an Art in Construction (Kunst am Bau) consultant at the Federal Real Estate Agency (Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben or BImA). In this role, she represents the interests of the client and owner in the initiation of Art in Construction competitions and the realization of new Art in Construction interventions. Additionally, she is responsible for approximately 6,000 Art in Construction objects, overseeing their appropriate presentation and expert maintenance and restoration measures.
