Where do we escape to, when our outer and inner worlds come crushing down on us? Escapism can be triggered by personal and collective experiences alike, and lead to a search for refuge in the physical or immaterial realm. The exhibition SHAPES OF SHELTER presents seven artistic positions that deal with mechanisms of searching for shelter. Fragile being, that does not have to be suppressed nor adapted, emerges as the core narrative.
