OpEN CALL
‘I CARE FOR YOU’ – A group exhibition on the visibility of care work
Curation: Martine Klein
26 June 2025 until 30 July 2025
Hall of the PLATFORM
Deadline for submissions: 1 April 2025
PLATFORM invites all women, lesbian, inter-, non-binary and agender artists to submit works in order to apply for participation in our group exhibition ‘I CARE FOR YOU’ (26.06.25 to 30.07.25) on the visibility of care work.
Every day, whether at home, at work or in our free time, we are cared for. There’s the mother who takes care of the family’s birthday presents as a matter of course, the flatmate who comforts us when we’re heartbroken, the nursing staff who organises the medication or the work colleague who always wipes the coffee stains off the counter. This caring and providing is work, is often taken for granted and remains invisible.
With this call, we want to bring together artists who do care work. Their perspectives, invisible burdens and routines should become visible with the help of the exhibition.
Conditions of participation
The call for entries is aimed at:
All women, lesbians, inter-, non-binary and agender artists are welcome who can demonstrate an engagement with art and a portfolio. Their centre of work or life must be Munich.
