Summer Training for Artists MUNICH 2026
The Summer Training for Emerging Artists 2026 is back!
Our intensive 4-day Summer Training offers 15 emerging artists the possibility to take part in workshops, face-to-face meetings and networking opportunities in Munich, from 21-24 July 2026.
We are delighted to invite you to apply to the updated edition of our Summer Training for Artists 2026 – especially tailored for recently graduated, emerging, and parent artists.
This updated programme provides artists with the professional knowledge, skills and connections needed to navigate the art world. In addition to this, the Summer Training offers a special session and a networking event focused on the importance of Sustainability & Networks in the Arts.
But what does that mean in practice?
Life as an artist is characterised by financial instability and fluctuating career opportunities. How, then, can a sustainable and resilient artistic practice be established under these conditions? What skills, knowledge and strategies are necessary for success in the art world? How can we actively negotiate our roles and visibility? How important is it to build and maintain professional networks for our careers, and how can we meaningfully expand these connections?
Unlike many other programmes, Summer Training focuses on providing personalised support in the form of one-to-one sessions, tailored advice and personalised feedback, enabling participants to engage intensively with their own work.
At the same time, Summer Training provides opportunities to meet gallery owners, curators, cultural managers, other experts and fellow artists. These encounters provide direct insights, new contacts and long-term connections.
The programme aims to bridge the gap between art education and professional practice, fostering a strong, supportive community.
Fee: €300 (including programme and materials, excluding accommodation and meals).
Financial support is available for Munich-based artists.
